What we collect

This is a marketing website with no user accounts. We collect a minimal amount of data:

  • Contact form submissions — if you use the contact form, we collect your name, email address, and message. You provide this voluntarily.
  • Analytics data — only if you accept analytics cookies, we collect anonymised usage data (pages visited, approximate location, browser type). We do not collect this without your consent.
  • Cookie preference — we store a cookie recording whether you accepted or declined analytics. This is strictly necessary and does not require consent.

We do not collect payment information, create user accounts, or store sensitive personal data.

How we use it

  • Contact form data is used solely to respond to your enquiry. We do not add you to a mailing list or share your details with third parties. Legal basis: legitimate interests (responding to direct communications).
  • Analytics data is used to understand how people find and use the site, so we can improve it. Legal basis: consent (you opt in via the cookie banner).

How long we keep it

  • Contact form messages — retained for up to 12 months, then deleted.
  • Analytics data — retained in accordance with the analytics provider's data retention settings, typically 14 months. Anonymised aggregate data may be retained indefinitely.
  • Cookie preference — stored for 12 months in your browser.

Cookies

We use a small number of cookies. Essential cookies are always active. Analytics cookies are only set if you give your consent. For a full breakdown, see our Cookie Policy.

Third parties

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for marketing. If you consent to analytics, data is processed by our analytics provider in accordance with their own privacy policy. We do not transfer data outside the UK/EEA without adequate safeguards in place.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you have the right to:

  • Access — request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
  • Rectification — ask us to correct inaccurate data.
  • Erasure — ask us to delete your data (“right to be forgotten”).
  • Portability — receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format.
  • Objection — object to processing based on legitimate interests.
  • Withdraw consent — change your cookie preference at any time via the “Cookie settings” link in the footer.

To exercise any of these rights, email hello@bindtek.com. We aim to respond within 30 days.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk, though we would always prefer you contact us first.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we'll update the “Last updated” date at the top. Continued use of the site after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
